Ian likes to be noticed and appreciated. He enjoys the routines of our studio at Art Explorers, like savoring his morning his coffee before getting to work, and he enjoys the social activity buzzing around him. Creating abstract art has given Ian a very special outlet for self-expression. He enjoys repetition, and routines, and like many artists likes working in “series” because it suits his temperament. Although we give him many choices of materials he seems most attracted to painting. He paints freely with liquid water-based mediums, and inks, and each new piece is always different from the last. He likes to work fast and spontaneously, and he also enjoys counting the number of artworks he finishes in a workday, which is often over a dozen. His work has a very contemporary look that many art lovers appreciate, and he has made many sales. Ian has proudly had his work shown at Make Studio in Baltimore.
