Marvin Willrodt

I love Art Explorers.

Marvin retired from Art Explorers in 2019, and passed away in 2021. We have a large collection of his work on display at our studio. Marvin is very much a creature of habit. He has been coming to Art Explorers since our very first day. Over the years he has produced literally thousands of paintings of flowers all done in a very similar format with variations in colors. Only in the last 5 years has he branched out and included birds, which he painted for about a year, and currently portraits of his favorite singers, Donny and Marie Osmond. A lifelong dream of Marvin’s was fulfilled in January of 2014, when he got to see the Osmonds perform in Las Vegas, meet them, and get a hug! He was able to give them a booklet with reproductions of some of his portraits and an original painting. At Art Explorers, when it’s Marvin’s turn to choose the music, he always picks a CD from his very large Donny and Marie collection. Marvin is truly one of the sweetest, most affectionate people you will ever meet. He has a great sense of humor, is playful and loves just about everyone he meets.
