Allen is an active guy and both moves and makes art quickly. His drawing themes range - from animal portraits (especially cats and their families), to clowns, and characters from his favorite movies, such as Ghostbusters. His style is reductive and recognizable - a suspended, circular form that is both body and head, two lines with circles for feet, a triangle nose, and circular eyes that always have a series of looping eyelashes. He has made collages, linoleum block prints; loves screen printing; works with pencil, a range of paints, and pastels.
