Art Explorers is hiring for a part-time studio facilitator, for Saturdays, 9a.m. to 3p.m. and for fill-in days.

Facilitators work with Art Explorers studio artists to develop their own interests and unique style. The facilitator role encourages artistic experimentation, guides creative projects, and supports the artistic development of our studio artists while maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.

Qualifications:

·      Art or art-related background, with one or more skills in painting, drawing, digital media, mixed media, ceramics, woodworking, textiles, writing or filmmaking.

·      Experience as a practicing artist or arts educator.

·      Previous experience working with neurodiverse and/ or developmentally disabled individuals.

·      Enthusiastic support of the program and the ability to relate to Art Explorers artists with respect, sensitivity, and good humor.

·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Flexibility, patience, and emotional intelligence.

·      Commitment to inclusive, person-centered practices.

·      Enjoy working in a creative, diverse, collaborative environment.

·      High School diploma or GED equivalent.

·      Fingerprint clearance.

·      Valid driver’s license, access to a safe car and proof of insurance.
